Abstract

The latest volume of International Comparative Social Studies illuminates the various human resource management practices of Sino-foreign joint ventures in mainland China. Cultural differences are identified as spaces of negotiation and conflict for management, for expatriates as well as local employees. This book provides new methodological insights into a hybrid organisation form, and the consequences and realities of modernisation for tactical as well as strategic management of modern Sino-foreign businesses.
