Abstract

Two syntheses of 6-methoxy-5-methylbenzo[h]pyrrolo[4, 3, 2-de]quinolin-4(5H)-one (eupolauramine) starting from 4-methoxynaphthylamine are described. One synthesis is highly efficient.
