Dangerous sorrows

Abstract

The author suggests that sadness and depression are often mistakenly considered to be the same. He explains that depression is form of unattended sadness, since sadness can feel like a comforting presence that enables reflection and regeneration while depression makes the sufferer feel numb and isolated.
