Abstract

This project seeks to support patients and families to make timely healthcare and quality of life decisions, through the use of decision support tools. Our participants (people living with MND, their carers, health professionals, researchers, and representatives of MNDA and MND NSW) have formed two expert panels. Panel members have identified over 50 decisions commonly faced by MND patients. Members are selecting the highest priority decisions, for which support tool prototypes will be developed. People living with MND, their carers and health professionals will be asked to ‘road test’ these prototypes, to ensure the tools improve MND care.
