Abstract
The article explores the awakening of women's expression of erotic desires through an innovative take on the study of Delmira Agustini's poetry. Agustini, a controversial Uruguayan poet, was misinterpreted in her times because she dares describe and desire men's bodies like no other woman had until her times. Ultimately, her body is inscribed by the object of her own desire: her husband takes hers and his life in an untimate act of jelousy and misunderstanding.
