Abstract

This article presents a model, called the EKJK model, to determine the open‐end discontinuity of a suspended microstrip line. The accuracy of the model is confirmed within 2% compared to the computed resonance frequency by this model and by the SDA. The effects of the width of the line and top shield on the resonance frequency of the suspended line resonator are also reported. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
