Abstract

The first objective of our study was to determine clinically relevant measures of footwear comfort based on a familiar footwear stimulus. Secondly, we applied these tools to a range of orthoses to determine the effect of contouring and density on comfort. In addition, we wished to observe whether individuals could state and demonstrate on the scale(s) their preference for the same orthosis.
