Abstract
Digital health has a critical role in mitigating the effects of climate change and managing the health consequences of such change. This chapter discusses digital health solutions and contributions in five sections: 1) Digital health can mitigate health system greenhouse gas emissions; 2) Digital health contributes to climate change; 3) Digital health can facilitate the management of climate change-triggered infectious diseases; 4) Digital health can facilitate the management of climate change-triggered environmental health risks; and 5) What must we do to accelerate the digital health response? Digital solutions are discussed for six technical tasks: Sensing, Monitoring, Electronic data capture, Modelling, Decision Support, and Communication.
