Distinguishing a leader from a manager

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

It is often said that leaders are the heart of a business, influencing and inspiring people to work together for a common goal. Managers, on the other hand, are the brains of a business, devising rules and procedures while providing incentives for greater achievements. Sometimes the lines between the two positions are blurred and this paper explores the important attributes of each while providing some insights on the differences.
