Abstract

Several types of passively modelocked lasers have been demonstrated, which include the Figure-of-eight laser and the polarization modelocked laser. However, the dynamics and stability of such lasers are still far from complete understanding. Presented is a study of the pulse propagation in modelocked laser with fast saturable absorption, using the model of quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation.
