Dynamic crosstalk study in a few-mode-multi-core fiber

Abstract

We investigate crosstalk fluctuations between cores and modes in a few-mode-MCF, observing almost 20dB power fluctuations for CW signals. We then measure increased crosstalk penalty for LP11 modes compared to the more confined LP01 modes.
