Abstract
Discusses industrialization and in-migration to cities. The type of migration varies and the availability of housing is important. These problems are studied in France, and are related to what is known in the USA. The interplay between migrants and migrant groups, and between migrant and resident is important. The role of state policy on housing is important in France. Not all migrants are industrial workers.-D.J.Davis
