    Abstract

An editorial may be defined as an article used to express an opinion, a reaction to timely events or an issue of interest. It may inform, promote, praise or entertain. As an urologist with an interest in incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, I have certainly witnessed many recent happenings in these areas to which I can relate this definition. I would like to first outline some of the recent clinical and technical advances in the field, then to reflect on the evolving concept of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of both male and female pelvic floor disorders which has been gathering momentum worldwide.
