Abstract
A discussion is given of some of the effects due to the presence of a quantizing magnetic field. This includes the interplay of single particle effects such as spin, valley and Landau levels with the manybody effects. The results of tilted field, the thermoelectric, de Haas-van Alphen and capacitance experiments, the beat effect and the quantized resistance are discussed.
