Abstract
The paper shows that the pump wavelengths required for upconversion in both Tm3+ and Pr3+ ZBLAN fiber, from which significant powers at 480, 493, 520 and 635 nm can be achieved, can be efficiently obtained from Yb3+-doped silica laser.
