Abstract

An electromagnetically coupled printed antenna for sub-6GHz 5G applications is presented. The antenna consists of printed circuit board, having dielectric constant "Er" and thickness "t", marked as (A) and the metallic ground plane (B). The PCB has two main radiating elements (C and E). The radiating element (C) is directly fed through the radio frequency (RF) feed (G). The radiating element (C) has a rectangular shape with a slot (D) in it. The other radiating element (E) is electromagnetically coupled to the slotted rectangular radiator (C and D) at area indicated as (F). The ground plane (B) acts as reflector to the radiating elements.
