Abstract

This paper presents the design, implementation and test results of an online system for instantaneous measurement and display of fuel consumption in a vehicle. By utilizing the existing available sensors for input, the overall cost and complexity of the system is greatly reduced. The system is intended to help reduce the fuel consumption, thereby reducing the cost of running the vehicle. The instrument is cost effective and easy to install in existing vehicles without major modifications.
