Abstract

This chapter will provide an overview of the evidence related to the effectiveness of electronic prescribing (e-prescribing) and medication administration systems in a range of settings to reduce medication errors and adverse drug events (ADEs). At the end of the chapter, there are two expert commentaries from authors who reflect on how such systems have been introduced into their very different countries.
