Abstract

A study was conducted on energy-transfer and efficient continuous wave (cw) laser operations. Efficient cw lasers have many practical applications including optical telecommunications, laser range finding and target acquisition. Laser operations in a microchip with mirrors deposited onto the laser crystal, were also studied. The operations were found useful for future development of the laser systems.
