Abstract
Designing periodic structures with novel properties related to propagation of electromagnetic waves presents interest for applications in antenna technology, dispersion engineering, filtering, signal integrity etc. We consider a periodic structure built in stripline technology and assess the effect of geometry modulation on the dispersion diagram, including newly introduced modes and electromagnetic band-gaps. We relate the dispersion diagrams of the modulated and unmodulated structures. Results present interest for applications in the above mentioned fields.
