Abstract

The environmental humanities are an interdisciplinary field made up of work in environmental philosophy, history, literature, media studies and more. In recent decades, it has influenced the work of human geographers in profound ways. This chapter provides a discussion of the kinds of ideas emerging from environmental humanities and the kinds of collaborations that have influenced the direction of geography and interdisciplinary environmental studies.
