Abstract

The optimum coil pitch was determined for the planar type micro-magnetic sensor for the evaluation of the near-surface material properties. A 2D model of one pitch of the sensor was developed for the calculation of transfer impedance and other parameters. Results showed that the resistive part of the impedance increases with the increase in coil pitch from 1.4 mm to 2.1 mm and then starts decreasing.
