Abstract

Rosalind Croucher was the President and Commissioner in Charge of this Inquiry. Building on earlier report, this Inquiry identifies Commonwealth laws that impact upon the victims of family violence or sexual assault, and considers whether these laws impinge upon effective service provision. This final report presents the findings of the Inquiry and the recommendations for reform. It reviews areas of legislation regarding social security, proof of identity and residence requirements, capacity to work, income management, child support, family assistance, employment law, Fair Work Act, occupational health and safety, superannuation, migration and refugee law.
