    Abstract

Numerical simulations of frequency modulated external cavity class-B lasers have been performed and a wide range of dynamic and spectral phenomena observed. It is shown that FM, pulsed or coherence collapse like behaviour can be obtained depending on the relative magnitudes of the mirror reflectivities and cavity round-trip times.
