Abstract
Along with her collaborator, historian, Leonard Janiszewski, Alexakis has told the story of the Greek Australian Diaspora since the early 1980s. She burrows deep to reveal a palimpsest of Greek Australian experiences – personal, gender, generational, cultural, political, and social. The exhibition, 'Forty Photographs – A Year at a Time' – was exhibited at the N. Smith Gallery, in Paddington, Sydney, from 28 March – 3 April 2022. It was a major event of the 40th Greek Festival of Sydney.
