Abstract
An adjustable frequency suspended microstrip antenna on Rexolite has been investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The useful variation range of the airgap (0.0-0.003 m) has been determined for maximum variation of frequency (2.1-2.6 GHz). The feed point matching (voltage standing wave ratio of 1.18), a bandwidth improvment (up to 10%), and improvement in efficiency (97%) with the airgap are also examined.
