Abstract
Organised by the Innovative Universities European Union Centre (IUEU), Macquarie University. Curated by Ms Gina Hammond and Dr Blanche Menadier. This exhibition is being held in conjunction with a conference on the issues of citizenship testing and national identity. The focus will be upon artworks by emigre artists. The collection on display includes works by Effy Alexakis, Judy Cassab, Fan Dongwang, Russell Drysdale, Marea Gazzard, Herman Sali, Michael Knit, Eva Kubbos, Dusan Marek, Desiderius Orban, Stanislaus Rapotec, Joerg Schmeisser, Shiego Shiga, M. Shoji, Joseph Szabo, C. H. Tang, and Salvatore Zofrea. The works to be used in this exhibition have been sourced from the Macquarie University Art Collection and Ms Effy Alexakis. Exhibition held at Macquarie University Library from 4 December 2008-31 January 2009.
