Abstract

GaAs design and simulation requirements are examined with respect to the large collection of tools available for silicon design. It is concluded that silicon technology has produced much of the design technology that is necessary for effective GaAs digital system design. Areas that will need attention include accurate device models and testing strategies at speed.
