Abstract
Gait disturbances are one of the characteristic features of idiopathic Parkinson's disease and often represent an initial symptom. They pose a particular challenge in the long-term treatment of Parkinson's syndrome. Since conventional treatment strategies usually do not adequately control axial symptoms, new therapeutic approaches are required.
