Printed in English and Japanese. This is based on the 11th International Brothers Grimm Award Commemorational Talk in 2007. It discusses the development of children's literature globally from a local point of view, analyzing the picture books by Allen Say, Ho Baek Lee in Korea and Allan Baillie.
