    Abstract

The statistical distribution of lengths of time (for example, of the survival of bees) is often of interest. This paper describes graphical methods that are appropriate for such data, which typically have a skewed distribution. These methods throw light on the hypothesis of whether hazard rate is constant. Data published by Visscher and Dukas (1997) appear to show increasing hazard rate.
