Abstract
This chapter is based on an interview between Connerton, a teacher, and Patterson, a university colleague. When the interview was taking place, Connerton was in the process of a career transition. She was preparing to move from a culturally diverse, community-based, urban child care centre in metropolitan Sydney to a new position as teacher of a long day care centre in a small country town in New South Wales. She saw the interview as an opportunity to reflect on her experiences in the child care centre, while at the same time, to consider her new role and its implications for her commitment to pedagogical documentation.
