Abstract

Curated by Jason Wing and performed at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Arts) ArtBar, Halal-Zalal is a visual, spoken-word and musical performance, including shadow puppetry and extreme metal. The work will explore themes of Muslim subjectivity, race, identity and culture against the recent upsurge of bigotry and Islamophobia in Australia.
