    Abstract

    Hazelnut is being widely used in the food industry as it is nutritious and a good source of energy. The identification of its chemical constituents revealed the presence of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, tocopherols, and polyphenolic compounds. The present review attempts to discuss the human health benefits, particularly the brain health, by the consumption of this nut.
