Abstract

This paper deals with the numerical study of a high impedance cylindrical surface (HIS) characterized by a 2D double periodicity. In the azimuthal direction a periodic arrangement of a width modulated single layer microstrip line is considered. The second periodicity is represented by the repetition of the aforementioned cylindrical slice along the cylinder axis. Numerical simulations have been carried out with the aim of studying the propagation of the surface-wave along the HIS.
