Abstract
Entangled photon pair generation by spontaneous parametric downconversion in Bragg reflection waveguides is theoretically investigated. Enhanced nonlinear interaction through tight mode confinement in the waveguide results in pair generation rate up to 4 × 10 8 pairs/s/mW/nm.
