Abstract

The influence of halogens in the buffer gas of high temperature copper vapour lasers enhanced devices using H 2-HCl-Ne buffer gas mixtures. The performance characteristics of a kinetically enhanced copper vapor laser master-oscillator/power amplifier system was investigated. The system employed a 25 mm by 1 m long active volume master oscillator and a 36 mm diameter by 1.5 m long power amplifier.
