Abstract

Examines the employment conditions of social compliance auditors who investigate the global supply chain of companies for evidence of forced labour and modern slavery. The findings show auditors often experience poor working conditions themselves. The article argues improvements to the training and protection of supply chain auditors will result in more honest, thorough, and effective reports.
