Abstract
Andorra now has one of the highest standards of living anywhere in Europe and this is based on revenue from tourism and from sales of low-duty items to visitors from Spain, France and NW Europe. Briefly outlines the history of the principality, the growth of its tourist industry and retailing sector and the influence of Spain and France in its development. Finally, speculates on the future growth of its economy. -R.Land
