Abstract
We propose an incoherent optical correlator for header recognition in optical packet switched networks, employing arrays of fiber Bragg gratings with different Bragg wavelengths and different reflectivity profiles. The proof of principle is experimentally demonstrated by recognizing a 4-bit pattern at 2.2 Gb/s.
