Abstract

In this study, we explore how Dark Triad personality (Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy) affect safety practices in the industrial sector. The key contribution of this work is to analyze the influence of these traits on behavior and decision-making related to safety. We employed the DEMATEL (Decision making trial and evaluation laboratory) technique as a robust cause-and-effect decision-making tool, enhancing our understanding of the practical implications. This research identifies potential risks and suggests strategies to mitigate adverse effects in high-risk settings. Through qualitative analysis and literature review, our findings emphasize the value of psychological assessments in improving safety protocols and raising a safer work environment.
