Abstract
Curriculum design is a process of intentionally crafting the architecture of the entire suite of learning activities and experiences that a student will undertake in order to successfully complete a program, courses or study component to achieve the stated learning outcomes. A key challenge for curriculum design in intelligence education is the shifting educational needs triggered by the rapid evolution of the intelligence body of knowledge (IBOK) - both theory and practice. The focus of this paper is the role of needs assessment in curriculum design for intelligence education. The core proposition is that a model of curriculum design that surfaces and engages the voices of more stakeholders will better sense, respond and adapt to the evolution of the intelligence body of knowledge. The paper offers a more robust curriculum design model for intelligence education and explores a 'design thinking' approach to underpin the model.
