Abstract
On November 5th last year, John Pochèe passed away. As many of you reading this will know, John was a highly original Australian drummer, a charismatic band leader and a passionate advocate for Australian jazz music and the musicians who made it. John’s passing was a momentous loss to the jazz community, and it caused me to reflect on his contribution to Australian jazz across many decades.
