Abstract

Before detailed economic assessment of a real integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) project, a primary estimation is necessary to provide a basic understanding towards the economics of the specified project. A more accurate reference calibration was obtained by comparing the calculation results from foreign economic models with actual economic data in China's gas turbine combined cycle power plants. Key parameters and various calculation factors were selected and specified in the economic model. Basic methodology was also modified to fit China's economic assessment practice.
