Abstract
This paper deals with channel modeling of wireless time variant frequency selective multi-user (MU) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems. Assuming a wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) at 5.3GHz, a multi-link (ML) MIMO Geometry-based Stochastic Channel Model (GSCM) is developed based on COST 2100 model. It analyses the effects of common clusters on ML-MIMO capacity and inter-link correlation. Based on simulation studies, it reveals that common clusters increases the inter-link correlation and decreases the ML-MIMO capacity. In addition to showing how often the overall system performance is degraded, it was also investigated that a common cluster which is really significant for only one link is not in fact a common cluster.
