Abstract

While the meeting was lacking in novel compounds, the diverse range of neuroscience presented, from genomics to neuroimaging and behavior, adds to a crucial intellectual framework that will be essential for rational drug design, and the future characterization and optimization of pharmacological therapies targeting the CNS. The intermixing of scientists with diverse ideas and technical expertise at international neuroscience meetings of this quality will undoubtedly accelerate the processes of drug discovery and therapeutic application.
