International partnerships in science-education: potential for Chilean-New Zealand interactions

Abstract

This document details outcomes from the recent visit to Chile by the authors to explore opportunites for collaboration to support teaching and learning in science at primary and secondary school levels. It presents a summary of thoughts and impressions of the visit, and lists a range of options, opportunities and implications for possible future partnerships and interactions. This programme is part of Scion’s Education and Outreach project, which is focusing on developing the role of Crown Research Institutes in assisting in science education.
