Abstract
This paper discuses the relation od new technology and its implementation processes with regard to the political and social aspects. The contribution of this approach to human factor research is analysed. Particular attention is focused on the active social shaping of technical systems by user organizations, interorganizational relations, and the broader societal context within which these organizations are located.
