The quantitative study consists of a pilot study for identifying the appropriateness of the scales and the main survey. Findings: Based on the evolution of IT function in organizations, the relationships between IT governance and IT success, IT management, and corporate governance have been mapped, which lead to the identification of constructs of the model and appropriate theory lens. Research limitations/implications: This research is expected to extend current IT governance theory in relation to different nations or cultural contexts. This research may be able to upgrade current IT success frameworks to an organizational strategy scope.
