Abstract
Agricultural land abandonment is pronounced in Puerto Rico. Comparison of landowners who continue to farm with those who have ceased shows that the two groups are distinguished by differences in their strength of attachment to farming, perception of the adequacy of government support for agriculture, and use of that support. -Authors
